The SFITS's calendar

The Swiss Foundation For Innovation and Training in Surgery is a training center for surgeons located in Geneva, offering about 400 courses per year.

As one of the foundation's axes is digital transformation, they wanted to optimize the user's path for consulting and registering for the courses that the SFITS provides. One of the aims was also to reduce the workload of SFITS employees, in particular by automating the registration and payment process, as well as the attendance validation.

As part of this project, we developed a calendar management tool and a client interface that allows users to consult the list of upcoming courses, register and pay directly from the website. 

Great partnership We have a great partnership with the MobileThinking team. They created our mobile web application. During all the process, they understood very quickly what our needs were and proposed us fully relevant solutions, not pushing for more and providing real good advice.
We particularly appreciate the transparency of our cooperation. They are professional, delivering what is supposed to be, on time and on budget. And in addition, they are very easy to work with, direct and trustworthy. We are confident 200% they will continue helping us improving our web app, and we are currently listing what are the next features we want them to develop on our web app. MobileThinking is definitely a partner we can rely on.

The management tool (backend)

The back office part has been realized with the Laravel framework. The goal of this server is to retrieve courses from an XML API and synchronize them with their local copy. These local copies are then augmented by the administrators.

Administrators can, among other things, add links, images, videos, documents, different prices, etc.

The client application

The web application (VueJS) was the most complicated part, as it was necessary to develop a rather sophisticated interface, usable on desktop and mobile. Calendar management has always been a puzzle. In the case of this project, we are very happy with the result.

Participants can consult the descriptions of the various courses, register directly and pay via PayPal or credit card.

In addition, a "validator" role can be assigned to certain users, in order to scan QRCodes, thus validating the presence of course participants.
