FAQ

Over the years, we have answered a multitude of questions from our customers. We always favour human contact and discussions, but if you really can't wait for us to meet, here are a series of answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Development

It depends on your needs and the interaction you want your user to have with your application. In some cases, we recommend to start with a responsive web application to test your project with users before creating a mobile application (as Facebook did). This reduces development costs and will already allow you to analyze user behavior and their appeal to your service. It also allows you to make improvements at a lower cost based on feedback from your first users.

In other cases, however, such as Uber, it is obvious that you need a mobile application.

As it depends on your basic needs, we advise you to contact us. We will be happy to provide you with our expertise free of charge.

No, but we are in partnership with several Swiss companies specialized in the graphic design of web and mobile applications. These are trusted partners with whom we are used to work with.

In case you already have partners for graphic design, no problem, we will be happy to collaborate with them, because a good collaboration between developers and designers is essential to carry out a project in the best possible way!

Contact us to discuss this further.

YES. To accompany you in the creation of the wireframes and the User eXperience of your project we offer design workshops.

Our technical knowledge in the development of applications will save you precious time on the analysis of the feasibility of your project.

At the end of our workshops you will have a functional and feasible wireframe!

Contact us for more information about our workshops and how we can meet your expectations.

It depends entirely on your project!

If you intend to make your application accessible from the Internet via web desktop, web mobile, and as well the application stores (Android and iOS) then we advise you to choose a hybrid technology such as Progressive Web Application (Angular or VueJS). This technology allows you to encapsulate your web project with tools such as Capacitor and deploy it on Android and iOS stores. This can be a good way to quickly test your application in all of these platforms with your target audience.

On the other hand, if you wish to have your application only available for download from application stores, we will need to study its complexity in terms of design and functionality (augmented or virtual reality, use of phone sensors, etc), before to decide which technology to use.

In short, your final decision depends on the needs of your project. We therefore invite you to contact us to discuss it for an hour for free.

It depends mainly on your project and its functionalities. For a showcase site like dimario.ch, it can take a few weeks, to create the competitor of Facebook, it can take more than 5 years!

In our case, the longest project we have been given to develop took 3 years. We still take care of its maintenance and evolutions. As for the shortest, it lasted 4 weeks.

If time is a problem for you, we recommend that you start your project with a Design Sprint. According to an IBM study, starting a project with a Design Sprint can reduce up to 75% of the design and development time of a project.

To get an estimate of the development time of your project contact us, it’s free and we will get back to you within a week.

It depends greatly on your project and its functionality. Based on our experience and the projects we have developed, the average price range is between 35’000CHF and 85’000CHF.

But nothing’s set in stone, of course. Your project can be technically simple to realize and be under 35’000CHF. Or on the contrary extremely complex, and costing well above 85’000CHF.

To have a price range specific to your project, contact us it’s free and we will answer you within a week.

Since the creation of our company in 2014, we have experimented with a multitude of programming languages as well as frameworks and have chosen to keep only the best, taking into account their flexibility, reliability and durability.

We are experts in the following languages, frameworks and tools:

  • PHP Laravel/Lumen (server)
  • Firebase (server)
  • Android: Java and Kotlin (native mobile)
  • iOS Swift (native mobile)
  • Angular (web desktop and mobile – PWA)
  • VueJs (web desktop and mobile – PWA)
  • Ionic and Capacitor (web desktop and mobile, hybrid mobile PWA)

The POC (Proof of Concept) is the very first brick in your project that you can use to prove its feasibility. It can be in the form of a schema, a wireframe or even an application that will have as its sole mission to tests the main functionality of your project. It should be noted that a POC is only intended to test your idea to prove its feasibility and not to deploy it to the public. It is therefore not at this stage that you should pay attention to details that are not essential to its operation.

The MVP (Minimum Valuable Project) is a functional marketable product containing the minimum features to provide a simple user experience and a concrete solution.

The V1, represents the complete solution with all the main features, a complete design, and the feedback from the MVP taken into account.
