28/11/2024

We're celebrating 10 years ! Last chapter 🎆🎇🥳

You are now about to enter the final chapter of this series of episodes on 10 years of MobileThinking. First and foremost, we'd like to thank you for following us on this adventure throughout the year!

To make the most of this final journey through time, sit back, relax and allow us to take you through it.

There's no great leap forward in time today: we're heading for 2024! Let's explore together the highlights and surprises of this emotionally-charged year, which continues to unfold.

What’s new under the sun ?

The MobileThinking team is stepping up a gear!

After a successful internship, Safia has joined the team as an associate, bringing the total number of team members to 10.

On an equally positive note, most of the team are now working part-time, so they can spend more time with their families and enjoy more of what life has to offer 🌞

And because the good news doesn't stop there : Safia obtained her Bachelor's degree in Web Development and Applications with the best results in her class, and Roseline obtained her Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing and Communication. Congratulations to them on these exceptional achievements! 👩🏻‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓

Who will have the best filter ? 😎

A new tradition has begun at MobileThinking!

Early morning video calls are a well-established habit, but recently our Friday morning meetings have taken an... unexpected turn.

They're turning into a filter festival, and in this case, no expense should be spared. The stranger and more ridiculous the filter, the better!

And just for you, here are a few exclusive examples :

The projects and events that marked 2024

Ultimo

Meeting in Oslo

Every six months, as part of the ULTIMO project, the 23 partners meet to review progress and plan the next steps. In April 2024, this meeting was held in Oslo, bringing together more than 40 participants for a packed agenda, including preparation for the midterm review, a crucial stage in validating the project's progress with the European Commission.

During the meeting, organised by Ruter, team-building activities and discoveries of autonomous vehicles and their depots strengthened the collaboration. The meeting enabled fruitful exchanges with the technological partners, laying solid foundations for the project's future. ULTIMO is making good progress, and the team remains fully committed to achieving its objectives.
General Meeting in Geneva

This year's Ultimo General Meeting was held at the University of Geneva, an ideal setting for bringing together all the project's partners.

The key moment of the meeting? A demo that showed how five technology partners, all operating in different fields, can combine forces to create innovative solutions, such as our Pulse Dashboard. This tool enables public transport operators to keep an eye on autonomous vehicles in real time, boosting both their efficiency and their safety.

The day was marked by constructive exchanges and discussions on the future of the project, with clear ideas for what's next, even after ULTIMO.

And to finish on a high note, everyone gathered for a fine dinner to strengthen ties in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a great experience, and one that will give us even more energy for what lies ahead!

Le 28

The Le 28 association, based in Geneva, aims to provide information and guidance on careers in the health and social care sectors.

Its project is to create a modern platform offering detailed job descriptions, interactive onboarding and tools designed to attract talent and address the shortage of staff in these fields.

MobileThinking is tasked with designing and developing the site, transforming an existing art direction into a more youthful and modern interface while ensuring a fluid and engaging user experience.

LAPaL - V2

The Medicines Patent Pool's LAPaL project aims to make information on long-acting medical technologies and their applications accessible.

Since 2021, MobileThinking has been enhancing the site with key tools, such as pharmaceutical compound management and interactive features to facilitate access to data.

A number of new features have been added this year, including an interactive comparator for analysing the characteristics of technologies and compounds, advanced visualisations such as graphs for clinical trials and an interactive map for medication registration status, as well as import/export tools for efficiently managing large volumes of data.

Each new feature has been designed to make the user experience even more fluid and intuitive, while meeting the specific needs of this complex and exciting field.

École Moser - Digital tracks

A new year and new features for the École Moser extranet, which is now equipped with a mobile tool for Cycle 1 teachers. Using this application, teachers can create digital ‘ tracks’ (in the form of text, audio, video or photos) relating to pupils and school outings organised by the school. These tracks can then be exported as PDF files and shared with parents.

Johdi Suite - New project in progress

The Johdi Suite HR ecosystem is about to be expanded with a new tool to make it easier to onboard new employees! The design phase has been completed and the devs have just started. We can't wait to tell you more!

An intensive teambuilding 💪

talk about an established tradition at MobileThinking : the teambuilding day!

This year, the team split into two camps for a memorable confrontation at the Cube Challenge Geneva. On one side, the ‘DevStorm’, on the other, the ‘SwissCommando’. The two teams embarked on a series of challenges and missions combining physics and reflection, including climbing, a ball pool, puzzles to solve and even penalty shoot-outs.

At the end of this tight competition, the SwissCommando teams were victorious by just 100 points (out of over 3,000 points)! Well done to them!

And what better way to round off this wonderful day than to get together after the fierce battle for a few drinks by the lake ✨

The crew improvises as photo models

Now you know everything about this afternoon of teambuilding. But what did the MobileThinking crew do during the morning?

A photo shoot!

The office was turned into an improvised studio, with flashes going off continuously (a real Geneva-Lausanne back-and-forth trip) 📸 to put the spotlight on the team members and get some great photos to publish on our website and social networks.

In fact, don't hesitate to take a look and learn a little more about the members of your favourite crew : https://mobilethinking.ch/team/

10 years deserve a celebration! 🥂🪩

To celebrate 10 years of MobileThinking together, your favourite crew embarked on a day out of the ordinary. As you can imagine, we couldn't pass up such a celebration!

On the programme : Cooking and Curling

First stop :  Katrépices for a team cooking class to prepare a 3-course menu : starter, main course and dessert 🍽️

The team pulled together and gave 100% of their all to prepare this delicious meal, which was then enjoyed (or rather devoured) in a convivial atmosphere, accompanied by a little (a lot) of good wine.

With the meal barely finished, the crew embarked on the second phase of the day's activities : an introduction to curling at the Centre Sportif de Sous-Moulin 🥌

With the help of a passionate coach, everyone was quickly able to find their marks and play a few games. And good news : not a single fall to be deplored, despite the few glasses of wine still in the blood!

And as all good things must come to an end, the day ended with a drink and everyone left with new memories to share ✨

Happy Birthday MobileThinking ! 🥳

This concludes this fabulous journey into the past, which has enabled us to relive together the best moments of the last 10 years of your favourite crew.

So thank you for these 10 exceptional years, and we raise our glasses to the next 10 🥂

The crew are now setting their sights on the future, so stay tuned! 🚀
