In partnership with
PROOV co-founders
Jovana Sanussi et
Nico Isler, MobileThinking has developed an app that connects students and tutors within the same university. Putting academics in touch with the right tutor, to help each student reach their full potential. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play for several schools in Switzerland, such as : École hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Université de Lausanne (UNIL) and the University of St Gallen (HSG).
For the
FBA (The Football Business Academy), MobileThinking developed a WordPress site to give them visibility, as well as a Liferay-based e-learning management system (LMS). The aim is to provide students with all the necessary tools and an optimal learning environment to succeed in the soccer industry. It was also necessary to enable the FBA to manage the school autonomously.
We take a look back at the
Traverse (Patrimoine en partage) app, which began development in 2016 and was launched in September 2017. As a refresher, this app enables personalized, living discovery of Franco-Swiss heritage. Its vision is to accompany users in interpreting a landscape, visiting a monument or even tasting a local product. All of this will be achieved by means of a collection of images and sounds, mainly from the funds of the project's public partners, linked together by themes and original narrative proposals (in the form of playlists).
It should be added that in May 2019 (yes, we're jumping a little into the future, but hey, that's the magic of time travel), the streets of Geneva were covered with hundreds of posters displaying a QR code to be scanned as part of the "Raconte-moi Genève" project. The application was then adapted to fully meet the needs of this cultural project.
In September 2017, MobileThinking won the tender for
FIPOI (Fondation des Immeubles Pour les Organisations Internationales) concerning an event management tool for the
CICG (Geneva International Conference Center) as well as its mobile applications. The applications will then be developed and available in 2018.
The team then invested its time in the development and market launch of the
Swapin application, headed by
James McGill. This application is designed to help users in their search for accommodation, by proposing new offers. With the added option of apartment swapping, the possibilities are multiplied tenfold.
Note that the
Swapin app won first prize at the AIDEAS pitching competition held at the University of Geneva on May 3, 2018. Well done the team!
