Day 3 - M18 AVENUE H2020 plenary meeting

09/10/2019

Summary of Day 3

The third and last day of the H2020 AVENUE plenary meeting has been focussing more on promotion, finance and administration. These are less sexy topics but definitely necessary for a project of that scale. For reminder, the AVENUE project is a 4 years project and it has 16 partners in 7 european countries.

WP10 : Promotion (UNIGE)

H2020 - AVENUE projet - Application mobile pour véhicules autonome - Jour 2 - sécurité
As project coordinator, the University of Geneva presented the promotion plan and the different ways each partner should promote the H2020 AVENUE project. Typically, we can participate in international fairs and exhibitions, site inaugurations with press releases, as well as simpler mediums like online and printed publications, presentations etc.

The promotion of the AVENUE project is extremely important for the year to come. It starts to be “easy” to showcase our projects as you can already try the autonomous shuttles in Lyon, Geneva and Luxembourg.

WP1 : Management (UniGe)

H2020 - AVENUE projet - Application mobile pour véhicules autonome - Jour 2 - sécurité
The second part of the day was dedicated to the WP1 Management work package. Coordinating such a project is a complicated task and needs strict organisation.

We spent time talking and improving the current processes based on the first 18 months acquired experience. This goes from deliverables review organisation, to file naming, passing through financial status. We established the timeline of the coming month including technical, financial and administrative work.

As previously said, this is not the sexiest topic, but it is definitely a necessary discussion.

Conclusion

To wrap-up these 3-day meeting, we would like to thank all the consortium partners for the active participation, discussions and inputs.

We are very happy with all the outcomes of these 3 days. It is always nice to see face-to-face all the people you are working with all year long.

We are very much looking forward to the coming months as we will have new software releases and new vehicle sites inaugurations.

The next plenary meeting will be held at holo, in Copenhagen in May 2020.
